Projective Toric Varieties as Fine Moduli Spaces of Quiver Representations
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper proves that every projective toric variety is the fine moduli space for stable representations of an appropriate bound quiver. To accomplish this, we study the quiver Q with relations R corresponding to the finite-dimensional algebra End (⊕ r i=0 Li ) where L := (OX , L1, . . . , Lr) is a list of line bundles on a projective toric variety X . The quiver Q defines a unimodular, projective toric variety, called the multilinear series |L|, and a map X → |L|. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the induced map to be a closed embedding. As a consequence, we obtain a new geometric quotient construction of projective toric varieties. Under slightly stronger hypotheses on L, the closed embedding identifies X with the fine moduli space of stable representations for the bound quiver (Q, R).

متن کاملQuiver Representations in Toric Geometry
This article is based on my lecture notes from summer schools at the Universities of Utah (June 2007) and Warwick (September 2007). We provide an introduction to explicit methods in the study of moduli spaces of quiver representations and derived categories arising in toric geometry. The first main goal is to present the noncommutative geometric approach to semiprojective toric varieties via qu...
متن کاملQuiver Flag Varieties and Multigraded Linear Series
This paper introduces a class of smooth projective varieties that generalise and share many properties with partial flag varieties of type A. The quiver flag variety Mθ(Q, r) of a finite acyclic quiver Q (with a unique source) and a dimension vector r is a fine moduli space of stable representations of Q. Quiver flag varieties are Mori Dream Spaces, they are obtained via a tower of Grassmann bu...
متن کاملProblems on Quiver Varieties
(1) Study the class of hyper-Kähler manifolds which are hyper-Kähler reductions of finite dimensional quaternion vector spaces by products of unitary groups. (Probably it is better to assume that the action is linear.) Besides quiver varieties, hyper-Kähler toric varieties in the sense of Bielawski and Dancer [2] are such examples. When the quotients are nonsingular ? How much of geometric prop...
متن کاملModuli of Mckay Quiver Representations I: the Coherent Component
For a finite abelian group G ⊂ GL(n, k), we describe the coherent component Yθ of the moduli space Mθ of θ-stable McKay quiver representations. This is a not-necessarily-normal toric variety that admits a projective birational morphism Yθ → Ak /G obtained by variation of GIT quotient. As a special case, this gives a new construction of Nakamura’s G-Hilbert scheme Hilb that avoids the (typically...
